The last twenty years or so have seen a tremendous outpouring of new Christian music. As with the music of every generation in the life of the Church some of this music is superb whilst others have not been so inspiring. This new music will without a doubt speak deeply to the real spiritual needs of  people, and therefore have a long and active life in Christian worship.

We should not make the mistake of thinking that this recent trend in Christian music is only for younger people. Christians of every age group are gaining a great deal from the music of Graham Kendrick, Martin Smith, Stuart Townend and many others.
